Contest Rules
Contest “Enter our annual contest for a chance to win one of two prepaid Visa cards worth $500 each in exchange for your participation"

  1. CONTEST PERIOD
    The contest begins on September 19, 2024 at 8h00 AM (Québec time, Québec, Canada) and ends on January 20, 2025 at 11h59 PM (Québec time, Québec, Canada).
  2. ELIGIBILITY
    The contest is open to any person who personally answered the survey administered by Léger in its entirety. The odds of winning depend on the number of participants to this survey. The survey is not addressed to Léger employees, or to other companies involved in this contest. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS CONTEST INTO ACCOUNT IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. An ID may be required to confirm the winner’s identity and eligibility.
  3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
    A person eligible to enter the contest can participate free of charge provided he or she receives an e-mail invitation to complete the survey and answers all survey questions correctly and completely before 11h59 PM (Québec time, Québec, Canada) on January 20, 2025, including all mandatory fields required to validate identity. Mandatory fields include last name, first name, telephone number with area code and e-mail address.

    Any person who has duly filled out the survey is automatically registered for the scheduled draw.

    3.1. Limit of one (1) entry per eligible person.
    3.2. An entry that has not been filled out before 11h59 PM (Québec time, Québec, Canada) on January 20, 2025 is void and does not allow a respondent to participate in the contest. The same applies to any incorrect, incomplete, improperly recorded, fraudulent or otherwise incorrect entry in violation of these rules.
    3.3. An entry must be completed on the Internet via the survey form. No telephone, mail or other type of entry will be accepted.
  4. PRIZE DESCRIPTION
    Among eligible contest entries, there will be a draw for two prepaid Visa cards of five hundred Canadian dollars ($500 CAN) each.
  5. DRAW
    The random draw of two winners will be held on January 22, 2025 at 12h00 (Québec time, Québec, Canada) at Leger’s office at 700-507 place d'Armes in Montréal. In the event a person proves not to be eligible to win a prize, he or she will be disqualified, and another random selection will be made for the prize.
  6. PRIZE CLAIM
    The entrant whose name was drawn during the draw will be officially notified by e-mail or telephone. The winner will be required to submit the information requested, within 10 days of the e-mail being sent. In case of non-response, the prize may be awarded to another participant. The entrant will not be declared a winner if the relevant checks are not made. The prize will only be awarded to a confirmed winner.
  7. ACCEPTING THE PRIZE
    The prize must be accepted as awarded. The prize may not be substituted for another prize, except at the sole discretion of the contest organizers, who reserve the right to substitute one or more prize components for another prize of equal or greater value. The prize cannot be transferred to another person. Refusal to accept a prize absolves the organizers of the contest from any obligation related to the said prize.
  8. PUBLICITY
    By accepting the prize, the winner authorizes contest organizers and their representatives to use the winner's full name and any declaration about the contest for the purpose of publicity, and this, without any form of compensation.
  9. GENERAL INFORMATION

    9.1. Leger is exempt from any liability in the event of lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, incomplete or improperly forwarded registrations, of viruses on the web site or computer bugs during the contest, network outages or technical problems with the phone line, computer systems, servers, the internet access service providers, or problems with installations or computer material or software, or any e-mail error or transmission delay, or any other electronic transmissions transmitted by or to leger or its agents as a result of any technical problems or congestion on the internet or on any other web site, or any of the above mentioned factors in combination, including any injury or damages caused to a participant or to any other person associated with computers or as a result of participating in the contest, including using the contest grid and the contest web site or the transmission and reception of e-mails.

    9.2. Without restricting the scope of the contest rules, leger reserves the right, at its entire discretion, (subject to approbation, if applicable, by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec) to modify, suspend or terminate the contest, in whole or in part, (and, at its discretion, to name one or more winners among the registered participants.) if for any reason whatsoever, in the opinion of Leger, and at its discretion, the contest did not progress normally, notably because of falsification, an unauthorized human intervention, fraud, violation of contest rules, errors or technical malfunctions, or a virus, a computer bug or any other cause that could alter the security and the administration of the contest or adversely affect them.

    9.3. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website, to obtain unauthorized access to another person's computer, or to adversely affect the good functioning of the contest is a legal infraction, and, in the event a person would make such an attempt, Leger reserves the right, not only to disqualify this person from the contest, but also to fully exercise its right to remedy in damages under the law, including, if deemed necessary, criminal proceedings.

    9.4. The personal information obtained on participants registered to the contest is used solely for the purposes of the contest and to participate in other potential contests with or without remuneration. However, under no other circumstances, will the personal information obtained be sent to third parties.   10. DISPUTE
    For Quebec residents, disputes about the organization or operation of this contest can be brought before the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for settlement. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of attempting to settle it.
